Updated | Pedestrian, 17, hit by car in Naxxar

A 17-year-old girl was hospitalised earlier this afternoon after she was hit by a car in Labour Street, Naxxar.

The girl resides in Naxxar.

The accident happened at around 2:20pm while the young woman was crossing the street. The Police confirmed that the driver of the car was a 37-year-old man driving a Hyundai Accent. The man resides in San Gwann.

The condition of the teenager, currently receiving treatment at Mater Dei Hospital, is not yet known.
