Portuguese entered Malta with drug capsules hidden in stomach

A 28-year-old man arrested after he trafficked 45 capsules of heroin in his stomach.

The Police have arrested a Portuguese man, 28, after he was found with 45 capsules in his stomach. It appears that the man landed in Malta yesterday and the police tracked him down at a Sliema hotel.

The arrived from Turkey and it appears that the drugs were to be passed on to a Libyan man residing in Safi.

The police said the Libyan was arrested as well.
