Autopsy shows French tourists died of asphyxia
Search continues for a 14-year-old boy and a second male lost at sea.
An autopsy carried out on the two bodies found yesterday near Fomm ir-Rih confirmed that the two women died due to asphyxia.
The Police also confirmed that the bodies belonged to two Frenchwomen, who formed part of the group of five French tourists reported missing by their skipper on Monday afternoon.
Earlier this morning, the Armed Forces of Malta retrieved a third body, that of a man believed to form part of the group. The corpse was found in the South Comino Channel.
The search however continues for two other missing persons: a man and a 14-year-old boy. The search is concentrated off the West coast of Malta.

Even death by strangulation is death due to asphyxia. Couldn't the autopsy report be somewhat more specific?
•
was it asphyxia or drowning? Drowning in water is a form of asphyxia but this can also be brought about by smoke inhalation or by blockage of the air passageways. Was it accidental drowning or murder!!!
