Foreigners arrested, accused of trafficking drugs

An American and a Panamanian were arrested last night after an investigation by the Police and Customs officers found them to be in possession of half a kilogramme of cocaine.

The men, 31 and 30 respectively had just flown in to Malta from Madrid.

In a statement, the Police said the search was conducted as part of a wider investigation which led the police to trace the two foreigners.
