Facebook lands man in court

Man arraigned after making false claims on MP Francis Zammit Dimech on Facebook.

Magistrate Francesco Depasquale warned Lawrence Magrin that while Facebook is a great social media tool which could be used to share stories, it's misuse could land perpetrators in front of the court.

The accused was facing charges of defaming former minister Francis Zammit Dimech after he claimed on Facebook that the Nationalist MP had ordered the killing of dogs at the Island Sanctuary.

Magrin withdrew all the allegations he had made against Zammit Dimech, who on his part accepted the apology.

The crux of the matter is WHO killed the dogs? Are the police or the Court taking any effective steps to bring the person/s involved to face justice, or shall we believe that the dogs committed suicide?!
