Two men accused of handling counterfeit money
Two Libyan nationals Libyans granted bail after being charged with possession of counterfeit money.
Two Libyan nationals were granted bail on a personal guarantee of €1,000 each, after they were accused of handling counterfeit money.
Fausia Aluena Alhamed, 31 and Taha Hussein Zorgani aged 18, pleaded not guilty to handling €400 in counterfeit money.
Inspector Daryl Borg arraigned the two men, one of whom is unemployed and the other a student, and stated that the two were apprehended in St Julian's on the night of 15 May with €400 in counterfeit notes found in their possession.
Magistrate Ian Farrugia granted bail to both the accused against a personal guarantee of €1,000 each.
Lawyers Kathleen Grima and Veronique Dalli appeared for the accused.
