Updated | Burmarrad apartment badly damaged in fire

Members of the Civil Protection Department were called to Burmarrad to control a fierce fire which engulfed an apartment.

The apartment in Triq Patri Magro appears to have been badly damaged, with CPD sources saying that practically most of the furniture was destroyed.

Witnesses on site reported that no one appears to have been injured in the fire as no one lived in the apartment.

According to media reports, the blaze happened at the same time of a power cut and the restoration of the power supply.
