Woman suffers grievous injuries after falling well

A woman is suffering from grievous injuries but is not in danger of dying after falling in a well at her house.

In a statement, the Police said the incident happened at around 5.15pm in Triq Santa Marija, Hal Ghaxaq. Members of the Civil Protection Department were called at the scene of the incident to help her out of the well. She was then rushed to Mater Dei Hospital for medical care.

Police investigation is ongoing.
