Speed boat catches fire in Balluta

The Armed Forces of Malta Operations Centre was informed by a civilian at 3:30am that a speed boat was on fire 100 metres away from Balluta Bay, Sliema.  

The Operations Centre of the Armed Forces of Malta dispatched a Search and Rescue boat Melita I to the area.  

The Malta Police and Civil Protection Department were also onsite. 

The Melita I controlled the fire and conducted a search in the area which resulted negative.
