Court approved repatriation of Iranian mother and daughter in possession of forged passport
Iranian Fatemeh Sahami was sentenced to seven months imprisonment suspended for a year and ordered to return to Istanbul.
Accompanied by her young daughter, the 29-year-old accountant listened attentively as Inspector Mario Haber accused her of being in possession of a forged Dutch passport. Sahami pleaded guilty to the charges.
Magistrate Claire Stafrace Zammit accepted the guilty plea and sentenced the woman to seven months imprisonment suspended for a year. The court authorised the immediate departure of the Iranian national and her daughter to Istanbul.
