Relapser accused with attempted theft

Anthony Abela, 42, of Qormi was remanded in custody over an attempted theft from the Go offices at Sa Maison.

Magistrate Doreen Clarke heard how the attempted theft took place at around 5 pm. Abela, who is a relapser and has a drug addiction, said he was not guilty of the charges.

Inspector Carlos Cordina prosecuted while Dr Simon Micallef Stafrace appeared for the accused.
