Sicilian fined €20,000 after illegal fishing
Sicilian fisherman involved in illegal fishing fined €20,000.

The court fined Sicilian Mario Montalto €20,000 and ordered the seizure of the illegal equipment found on his vessel.
Montalto, 56 year-old from Portopalo, is the owner of the vessel 'Sparviero' which was apprehended on Sunday while fishing for swordfish using long lines.
Ten swordfish worth around €2000 were also found on bard and seized by the Fishing Authorities.
Lawyer Arthur Azzopardi appeared for the accused.
