Police investigating mysterious shooting in Qormi

Bullet holes, spent cartridges and bullet heads found in St Edward Street, Qormi.

Police are investigating a mysterious shooting in Qormi after residents reported hearing shooting in the middle of the night.

The shots were heard at about 4.30am in St Edward Street. No injured persons were reported but police found bullet heads and spent cartridges on the floor and bullet marks on the walls.

A magisterial inquiry has been ordered.
