Prostitution, drug trafficking among charges pressed against minors
400 minors appeared before the Maltese courts in the last three years, with charges including prostitution, drug trafficking and possession of weapons.

Four hundred minors whose aged varied between 10 and 17 years appeared before the Maltese courts for several crimes, including prostitution, drug trafficking, possession of weapons and aggravated theft.
According to Sunday newspaper Illum, information tabled in parliament shows 140 minors were taken to court in 2010, 139 in 2011 and 127 in 2012.
