Woman hospitalised after San Gwann traffic accident

A woman has been hospitalised following a crash at about 12.45pm in Regional Road, San Gwann.

Preliminary investigations found that the woman was driving a Citroen C3 towards Paceville when she collided with a BMW 320D being driven by a man, 65, from Ghajnsielem.

As a result of the crash, the BMW spun to face the opposite direction while the Citroen swerved into a crash barrier.

The woman was extracted from her car by members of the Civil Protection Department.

An update with her medical condition will be issued in due course.
