Elderly woman escapes unhurt in small fire

An elderly woman, 87, escaped unhurt when a fan caught fire yesterday night. The incident happened at around 10:15pm in a private residence in Triq San Anard, Tarxien.

Members of the Civil Protection Department where called in to assist the woman, who fortunately did not suffer any injuries. The fire was controlled.
