Fgura man remanded in custody over drug trafficking charge

Inspectors Arthur Mercieca, Spiridione Zammit and Saviour Baldacchino explained to the court how when arrested, Agius was also in possession of heroin. The prosecution charged  the man with stealing four vehicles - a Hyundai, a Mazda, a Suzuki and a Transit. The Suzuki and Transit were damaged during the theft while tools that were in the Suzuki were reported stolen.

He was also accused with stealing items from the residence of Ritianne Galea and Matthew Vassallo, stealing a handbag from inside a parked vehicle, handling stolen property and relapsing.

Magistrate Giovanni Grixti remanded the accused in custody.
