Update 2 | Two men found unconscious in Santa Lucija basement

Objects related to substance abuse found in underground garage.

The two men were found lying unconscious on the floor in a garage in Santa Lucija.

A 30-year-old man from Santa Lucija and a 26-year-old man from Luqa were found unconscious in a basement in Mabel Strickland road, Santa Lucija late this afternoon.

The two were rushed to Mater Dei Hospital. According to the police's communications office, their condition is now stable.

Objects related to substance abuse were found on site.

The first to arrive on site were members of the Rapid Intervention Unit after someone reported noticing the two lying on the ground.

Investigations are being led by the Drugs Squad.
