Suspended jail term for assaulting fellow migrant
Minor pleads guilty to assaulting fellow migrant at the Hal Far detention centre.
A migrant at the Hal Far detention centre was given three months in prison suspended for three months after pleading guilty to grievously injuring a fellow migrant at the same centre.
Saif Fasial Ibrahim Sahir, a minor, admitted to having caused grievous injuries to Manges Tesfay when an argument broke out between the two at the closed centre.
Inspector Carol Fabri, who led the prosecution, also said the minor fully collaborated with the police during their investigation.
