Updated | Young cyclist injured following collision with bus

A 15-year-old cyclist from was injured this morning after being involved in a collision with a bus.

The police said that the 15-year-old from Mosta was taken to Mater Dei Hospital following an accident in Triq il-Girgenti, Siġġiewi. In a later statement the police said the teenager was certified as suffering from injuries of a grievous nature.

From the police's preliminary investigations it resulted that a Bedford Dominant, driven by a 61 year old male residing in Siġġiewi and a bicycle, driven by the youth collided head-on whilst being driven in opposite directions.

Investigations are ongoing.
