Nine persons arrested after drug finds

Nine persons were arrested over the weekend after a series of drug finds, the police said.

Five were arrested on Saturday after they were found in possession of cocaine and cannabis at a residence in Siġġiewi.

The arrested included two men, aged 27 and 30, both from Siġġiewi, a 27-year-old man from Qormi, and two women, aged 20 and 23, from Siggiewi and St Paul's Bay respectively.

Another four persons were arrested following a police raid at a farmhouse in Siġġiewi. They were arrested at a party which was held without the necessary permits and during which illegal acts were being carried out.

The four persons, three men aged 18, 21 and 24 from Siġġiewi and a 42-year-old woman from St Paul's Bay, were all found in possession of cocaine and cannabis, the police said.
