Rider and driver hospitalised after horse bolts
A rider and a driver were hospitalised shortly after a horse bolted today, at about 5:30 am, in Triq Bella Vista, San Ġwann.

Preliminary investigations found that the rider, an 18-year-old who resides in San Ġwann, was riding the horse towards Triq Taż-Żwejt from Triq Reġjonali, when it bolted and threw the teenager onto the windscreen of a Daihatsu Sirion being driven by a woman, a 33-year-old who also lives in San Ġwann.
The horse was held by passersby.
An update with the rider's and driver's medical condition will be issued in due course.
