Updated | Man charged with drug trafficking denied bail

A 41-year-old man from Pieta was yesterday arrested by the police after he was found in possession of cocaine and crack cocaine in a car in the Mater Dei Hospital area.

The man was arraigned today on charges of drug possession and trafficking. He was found in possession of an unknown amount of drugs which were packed in separate packets.

The man pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against him. He was not granted bail and was escorted to the Corradino Correctional Facility.  

The prosecution was led by Inspector Dennis Theuma.
