Drugs found in Paceville

The police are investigating a 40-year-old man from Catania, but residing in Malta, after receiving a report yesterday that a bag containing cannabis and about 250 grammes of cocaine had been placed inside the air shaft of a block of apartments in Paceville.

Police from the drugs squad together with St Julian's police station officers found around 5kg of cannabis.

The police arrested the man and a 25-year old woman from Bulgaria.

Whilst investigations are still ongoing, the Sicilian man is expected to be arraigned in court in the coming days.
