27-year-old dies in Mgarr traffic accident

A 27-year-old young man from St. Paul's Bay lost his life in a traffic accident which took place at around 1:20am in Mgarr Road, Mgarr.

The Police went immediately on site and noted that a vehicle of make BMW Series 3 had crashed into the facade of a building and the rear side of same vehicle was on fire.  The Police managed to extinguish the fire and CPD who were called on site assisted in taking the driver out of the vehicle. 

A medical team was also called on site to assist the victim but unfortunately he was certified dead on the spot.  The duty Magistrate was informed about the case whereby he appointed several experts to assist him in the inquiry.

Police investigations are still underway.
