Computers seized during raid against illegal gambling

A considerable number of computers were seized during a raid on six establishments following investigations into an illegal gambling network.

The computers, together with €46,000 in cash, were found during an operation mounted yesterday, October 3, 2013, by the Economic Crimes Unit, assisted by the Criminal Investigations Department and Rapid Intervention Unit.

An unlicensed pistol and ammunition were also found in one of the establishments.

Eleven persons are being interrogated. Investigations are still underway.
