Irked TV producer claims his ideas were stolen

TV producer files a judicial protest claiming the ideas behind The Wedding Battle were originally his.

TV producer David Charles Bajada has filed his second judicial protest insisting that the original idea of TV programme "The Wedding Battle" currently aired on PBS, was his.

After filing another judicial protest last month, Bajada now exhibited the demo tape he had presented to PBS in March 2010. After speaking in confidence to Michael Vella Haber and Adrian Saliba, he also proposed the same to NET TV. The PN-run stations accepted his proposal and told him the the programme will be aired in the coming future.

Meanwhile PBS scheduled a programme by Rewind productions called "The Wedding Battle".

In his second judicial protest Bajada described the different sections of his proposal insisting that Rewind Productions stole his ideas. A CD showing the promo clip presented to PBS was included in the protest. The irked presenter demanded that the show must cease from using ideas that he had come up with.

Lawyers Abigail Critien and legal procurator Nadine Farrugia signed he judicial protest against Adrian Saliba and Michael Vella Haber, Evelyn Saliba La Rosa, Rewind Productions, PBS and the Broadcasting Authority.

Your use of the word 'Irked' infers that the producer was wrong to accept the theft of his Intellectual property?..its a practice that goes on too readily on our islands and its probably one of the many reasons why the standards of broadcast TV are so very low.
