Bail for woman accused of sexual relations with minor

Raisa Mangion, 21 of Santa Lucija, was granted bail after pleading not guilty to having had sexual relations with a minor and harassing two others, making them fear that violence would be used against them.

Prosecuting inspector Trevor Zammit told the court that the offence came to light while he was investigating Mangion over reports of harassment and threats.

On 29 October, the victims argued with Mangion's girlfriend. The accused retaliated by driving her car in a dangerous and negligent manner towards the area where the two victims reside, in a way that the women feared for their safety. Investigations resulted that Mangion's girlfriend, with whom she allegedly had a sexual relation for the past year, was a minor. 

Magistrate Neville Camilleri granted bail to the accused against a deposit of €750 and a personal guarantee of €10,000. The court ordered a ban on the publication of the names of the three victims.
