Two men grievously injured in separate falls

A 77-year-old man was grievously injured when he fell two storeys into a courtyard in a residence in Triq Santu Rokku, Qormi earlier this afternoon.

Preliminary investigations found out that the man fell over while climbing a boundary wall between two residences. 

Meanwhile, earlier today, a 53-year-old man suffered serious injuries when he fell off a ladder at a factory in Xewkija. 

Police said that the incident occurred this morning at about 10am while the man was carrying out maintenance works.

Their condition is not life threatening.

The two men were hospitalised to Mater Dei Hospital and the Gozo General Hospital respectively.

Further investigations are ongoing.
