39-year-old Bulgarian woman slightly injured • Police search for grey car after driver hits woman and drives off.

The Police have launched an investigation and are searching for the driver of a grey car who drove away from the scene of a traffic incident.
A 39-year-old woman is currently receiving treatment at Mater Dei Hospital after she was allegedly hit by the car in Triq it-Torri, Sliema.
She was slightly injured
The incident happened at around 6pm as the car was being driven towards Tigne.
The woman is from Bulgaria but resides in Sliema.
Her injuries are not life threatening.
The police said the car had foreign registration plates.

How come , I notice lots of foreign registered cars being driven round the island for a long period of time (years) ,without being stopped and ceased by police or transport malta official.
