Spaniard injured in St Paul's Bay traffic accident

A 28-year-old Spanish man residing in St Paul's Bay is in critical condition following a traffic accident in St Paul's Bay on Tuesday.

The Police were informed about the traffic accident at 0200hrs and immediately repaired at Burmarrad Road where a Peugeot 106 was noted to be on its side. Following preliminary investigations it was established that the man was driving the vehicle from Mosta towards St Paul's Bay, lost control of the vehicle and hit a pole and a wall.

Civil Protection personnel and a medical team were called on site. The man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital and was certified as being in critical condition.

Workers from Enemalta were called on site too.

A Magesterial Inquiry is underway.
