Sliema crash leaves man in critical condition

A 39-year-old man from Sliema is in danger of dying following a traffic incident in Rudolph Street, Sliema.

At around 3am, police officers stationed at the Sliema police station, which is on the same street, heard a loud thump and as they rushed out of the station they saw the injured victim.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim had been involved in a traffic incident with a 25-year-old man from Sliema. The latter was driving an Opel Corsa while the victim was driving a Piaggio X9.

The victim was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital where he was certified to be in critical condition.

A police investigation is ongoing.
