32-year-old injured in Birgu accident

A 32-year-old male residing in Bormla was rushed Mater Dei Hospital following a traffic accident between a Suzuki 100 and a Toyota Hilux in Triq San Dwardu, Birgu.

The accident happened at around 9:40am. The injured man was driving his Suzuki motorcycle towards Kalkara, while the Toyota drive, 31 of Tarxien, was driving in the opposite direction.

The victim is suffering from grievous injuries.

In a separate incident in Ghar Dalam, a woman was hospitalised after the car she was travelling in was involved in a traffic accident. The woman is believed to have suffered a broken arm.
