Updated | Man questioned over Hal-Farrug 'hit-and-run'
A foreigner is in critical condition after he was hit by two cars in Hal Farrug.
A foreigner is in danger of dying after he was hit by two cars early this morning. The man, 44, lives in Ghaxaq.
The incident happened at around 6:45am in Triq Hal Farrug, Hal Farrug.
Preliminary investigations found that the pedestrian was first hit by an Opel Corsa being driven by a 21-year-old man from Qormi. As he lay on the ground, a second car hit him and kept on going.
The second vehicle left the scene before any assistance was sought. The Police have confirmed that a 33-year-old man from San Gwann is now being questioned by the police.
The man was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital where he was certified to be in critical condition.
Further investigation are underway while several experts have been appointed to assist with a magestiral inquiry.
