Several people have reportedly received a message asking to call 00881845110725 to hear an important voice message.

The foreign number has since been identified as a scam.

Meanhile, people who said they had received a phone call reported a male voice claiming that they had won the lottery before requesting their bank details.

Police have warned people to express caution and that such information should never be divulged under these circumstances.
