Syrian critically injured in San Gwann

A 31-year-old Syrian male residing in Hamrun is in a critical condition following what has been reported as an argument between foreign nationals in Vjal ir-Rihan, San Gwann at 8pm.

In a statement, the police said that they were informed that a fight was in progress in the mentioned street, however they could not verify the report when on site.

Later on, the health authorities informed the police that a man with serious injuries had just entered the A & E Department. It is believed that the man suffered head injuries after being hit with an object.

Following thorough investigations, the Police spoke to another two foreign nationals who are assisting them.

A Magisterial Inquiry into the case has begun.
