Fire in Mdina's Palazzo de Piro

The Civil Protection Department was called at 8.06 a.m. this morning when a fire broke out in the kitchen of Palazzo de Piro in Mdina. No one was injured and the fire was brought under control within minutes.

Although the fire did not spread and the fire itself did not cause a lot of damage, CPD personnel are at the moment ventilating the place from the heavy smoke.

District Police are investigating the accident.
