No bail for man charged with attempted murder

It is understood that the accused had been taking drugs with the victim when the fight broke out

A 51-year-old Cospicua man was remanded in custody after being charged with attempted murder and cocaine possession.

Julian Cuschieri appeared in the dock, charged with causing grevious bodily harm to Stefano Caruana with a sharp and pointed instrument.

The incident occurred on the night of the 20 October in Coronation Street, Cospicua, at around midnight.

It is understood that Cuschieri had been taking drugs with Caruana at the time when the fight broke out.

Cuschieri pleaded not guilty. The court denied him bail and remanded him in custody.
