Driver in danger of dying after bus collision
A 60-year-old man is in danger of dying after the pick-up van he was driving skidded and collided with a bus.
A 60-year old man is in danger of dying after crashing into a bus in Telgha tas-Saqqaja, Rabat at around 3:30pm.
According to reports, the man was driving his Mitsubishi pick-up van in the direction of Attard along with his wife and son when his vehicle skidded, colliding head-on with a bus that was approaching from the opposite direction.
Civil Protection workers and three ambulances were called to the spot, taking the family and two of the bus passengers to Mater Dei Hospital. The pick-up van driver was later certified as being in danger of dying while his 15-year-old son suffered lighter injuries.
A magisterial inquiry has been launched and the Rabat police are investigating the incident.
