Sulky rider hospitalised, man arrested after alleged hit-and-run

A 66-year-old man of Haz-Zebbug was hospitalised early this morning for injuries sustained after he was hit by a vehicle that allegedly drove off.

According to the police’s communications office, the man was found lying on the ground at around 5am, with visible injuries on his face. Police investigations revealed that the man had been riding a sulky when he was hit by a vehicle.

The incident happened in Triq Mikelang Sapiano, Haz-Zebbug. The extent of his injuries is not yet known

The Police have also arrested a man, believed to be the suspected hit-and-run driver.
