Police arrest man carrying half a kilo of cannabis

Drug Squad police officers arrested a 26-year-old man from Birkirkara after finding him in possession of around half a kilogram of what is suspected to be cannabis grass.  

Police arrested the man in Triq ic-Cawsli, Zejtun at around 1:40pm while he was riding a motorcycle.

The man has been kept under arrest so as to assist the police in their investigations. Police said that he will arraigned in court in the coming days.

Magistrate Francesco Depasquale ordered an inquiry and appointed a number of court experts to assist him.
