15 arrested following drug finds in Gozo

15 people aged between 17 and 31 years old were arrested in Gozo on Saturday following drug finds, police said.

Those arrested - 14 men and a 19-year-old woman - are of Maltese, English, African and Finnish nationality. Three were arrested for being in possession of cocaine and ecstasy in amounts which denoted that the drugs were not for their exclusive use, while the rest were arrested for possession of cocaine, ecstasy, cannabis resin and cannabis grass.

The arrests were made after investigations by the Drug Squad and the Gozo criminal investigation department.

Police investigations are ongoing.
