Man hospitalised after crashing into electricity pole
34-year-old man injured after crashing into vehicle and electricity pole in Zabbar traffic accident
A 34-year-old man has been hospitalised after crashing into an electricity police during the early hours of this morning.
The incident occurred in Triq is-Santawju, Zabbar at about 3:40am when a Peugeot 208 driven by a 34-year-old man from Pembroke crashed into an oncoming Peugeot 508 driven by a 34-year-old woman, also from Pembroke.
Informed sources explained that for an unknown reason the two cars crashed at the corner of Triq is-Santwarju and Triq il-Kbira, Zabbar. Upon impact, the Peugeot 208 driven by the 34-year-old man crashed into a ramp and an electricity pole near the BOV branch.
The man was conveyed to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance where he was certified to be in a stable condition. His injuries are not yet known, with police sources saying that they are not life threatening.
Meanwhile, the woman escaped unharmed from the crash, but both cars were extensively damages.
