Two deny using massage parlour for prostitution
Man and woman remanded in custody after being charged with operating a brothel in Msida and to threatening a Chinese woman
A 59-year-old man and a Chinese-born woman were this afternoon remanded in custody after they pleaded not guilty to using a massage parlour for prostitution.
The accused, Dominic Grixti, 59, of Gudja, and Yujie Dimech, 43, of Valletta, also pleaded not guilty to human trafficking, to operating a brothel in Msida, to living off the earnings of prostitution, and to threatening and holding a Chinese woman against her will.
Grixi was also charged with being in the illegal possession of an air gun.
Presiding Magistrate Doreen Clarke denied bail and remanded the accused in custody.
