Youth hospitalised following Xewkija crash

A 27-year-old youth has been hospitalised after being involved in an early morning incident in Xewkija, Gozo.

The incident occurred in Triq l-Imgarr at about 6:10am, when for an unknown reason, a Rav4 driven by a 27-year-old man from Ghajnsielem crashed into an oncoming Toyota Rav4 driven by a 21-year-old man from Ghasri.

The 21-year-old man escaped unharmed, whereas the Toyota driver was conveyed to the Gozo General Hospital.

The extent of his injuries are not yet known.

Police investigations are ongoing.
