A three-month old baby was admitted to Mater Dei hospital with injuries to its head after allegedly falling off a pushchair, the police said.
The incident happened at 4:30pm, and district police were alerted to the incident.
The Libyan boy was said to have fallen from his buggy while his mother fed his twin sister. The boy was said to be suffering from grevious head injuries.
Zabbar police are leading the investigation and court experts have been appointed to assist in the magisterial inquiry.
