Man grievously injured in car crash

A 35-year-old man from Pieta was grievously injured in a traffic accident this morning at Qormi.

The police said the incident occurred at about 7am in Main Street, Qormi, when the victim was driving a Honda that was involved in a collision with a BMW being driven by a 24-year-old man from Qormi.

An ambulance conveyed the 35-year-old to Mater Dei Hospital where he was later certified to be suffering from grievous injuries. He is not in critical condition.

The other driver escaped unharmed.

Police investigations are ongoing.
