Youth hospitalised after head-on crash

A 25-year-old has been hospitalised after a head-on collision between two vehicles in Hal-Far.

The incident occurred at around 8:15am in Triq Hal-Far when a Volkswagen Polo driven by a 25-year-old man from Birzebbugia crashed into an oncoming Renault Captur.

An ambulance conveyed the youth to Mater Dei Hospital for further treatment. The extent of his injuries is not yet known.

The other driver, a 41-year-old man from Rabat, escaped unharmed.

Police investigations are ongoing.
