Two injured in Sliema roof collapse

Two persons have been injured after a roof collapsed in Sliema, the police have confirmed.

The incident happened in Triq il-Kurunell Savona shortly after 1.30pm while the workers were demolishing the roof of a house.

The building gave way, trapping one worker underneath and injuring another. Members of the Civil Protection Department were called in to help free the trapped man.
