A 20-year-old man from Cospicua has been handed an 18-month probation order after he admitted to having stolen beer and juice from an Msida kiosk in September.
Inspector Jonathan Ransley arraigned Adrian Zammit before magistrate Doreen Clarke, charging him having stolen eight cases of beer and two boxes of juice from the Golden 7 kiosk. The theft was aggravated by the means employed and the time it was committed - understood to have been the early hours of the morning of 29 September.
Lawyer Victor Bugeja, legal aid, entered a guilty plea on behalf of the accused.
Magistrate Doreen Clarke handed the man an 18-month probation order, leaving the decision as to whether he is to attend a drug rehab programme up to his probation officer.
